About Us

Blake has been a part of Idaho's construction industry since 1998, building homes across the valley by working with some of the top companies in the area. His years of experience and dedication to quality led him to establish Local Builders and Blinds in 2023, focusing on custom home remodeling. Blake has built strong relationships with the best subcontractors, and his reputation for quick, fair payment makes him a contractor people love to work with. He brings a positive attitude to the job site, making sure his team enjoys their work.

Communication is key for Blake. He believes in maintaining transparency with clients, ensuring they feel involved and confident throughout the construction process. Outside of work, Blake enjoys Idaho’s great outdoors, spending time camping, fishing, and making memories with family and friends. Recently, he’s taken on the title of "Pops" to his granddaughter Haizel. He also has two adult sons, one a journeyman electrician, and the other living in Eastern Idaho.

Kelly has a natural talent for interior design, which she honed over the years by diving into the window covering business. In 2023, she officially started her own business, specializing in manual and motorized shades, cellular shades, Roman shades, and custom draperies. Blake and Kelly officially launched Local Builders and Blinds and it was a perfect fit, as her expertise adds a valuable service to their offerings. She collaborates with top interior designers in the Wood River Valley, providing custom window treatments tailored to her clients' needs.

Kelly’s fabric library allows her to offer clients a wide range of options, ensuring every budget and style is covered. A proud Wood River Valley native, Kelly previously owned The Chic Nail and Beauty Bar in Hailey. Outside of work, she enjoys outdoor adventures with Blake and their two golden retrievers, Hank and Buster, while remaining a dedicated mother to her three children—Katelyn, Tommy, and Lizzie.
